No, you are not required to have insurance. Without any insurance, you take on all risks that can happen with your items stored in the portable container and you can’t hold us responsible for any damages. However, you can add the portable container onto your home insurance.

To order a container, you can give us call at 519-872-8137 or send us an e-mail at Once your order has been placed, it will take up to 72 hours to deliver the container to you. An estimate of delivery time and day will be sent to you over e-mail.

We try our best to keep the container as close to level as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that items will not move during transport. To help keep items in their position, there are hooks inside the container, where you can tie things against the wall to prevent movement. You are responsible for providing the straps.

Yes, the maximum weight allowed inside a container is 5,000 pounds.

We have furniture blankets that you can rent to help protect your items as well as locks for purchase. We do not have any boxes, tape or markers available for sale. Please contact our office at 519-872-8137 or at for the cost of the locks and renting fee for the blankets.

We offer furniture blankets for rent. Also, there are hooks inside the container where you can tie your items down to prevent movement. You are responsible for providing your own straps.

Our containers are weather-resistant. The container is designed to protect your items against typical weather conditions such as falling rain and snow.

The portable containers are rented on a month-to-month basis. However, moving the container can happen at any point in time during the rental period.

Our containers are made of a steel frame with specially designed, aluminum skin panels.

Items that are not permitted are flammable substances, fertilizers, heating devices, explosives, animals, perishable contents, items capable of freezing during cold weather, any hazardous or illegal materials/substances, or other items which may constitute a nuisance, hazard or danger to you, Xpress Storage Inc., the premises, and/or other tenants.

Delivery and Pick-Up

Yes, your container can easily fit into one parking space, but your driver will need some extra room to deliver and pick it up. Please contact your property manager to ensure a container is permitted to stay for a period of time in the parking spot. Any fees or fines received from placing a container in a spot that is not permitted is the user's responsibility.

No, you don't have to be present for your container delivery. The driver will use your delivery instructions to place your container and will also contact you with any questions or concerns. We recommend being available if there are obstructions or if you foresee the delivery being difficult.

We try our best to deliver a container within 72 hours of your request. However, service dates are subject to availability and this may not always be achievable. Advance notice is strongly recommended.

We use a hydraulic lift system designed to position the container safely on your driveway. With placement, we do put at least 1 wooden block under each corner, so the container does not directly sit on your driveway. For new driveways, check with your builder or developer before scheduling a placement. We are unable to determine the integrity of any paved surface, so you should always check for existing cracks and request placement away from that area.

When you park your car on the incline with the nose of your vehicle facing uphill, and you open your car door all the way, does it stay open? If so, we should be able to place the container exactly where you would like; however, if it doesn’t, it may be too steep. For driveways with a slight incline, we do add additional pieces of wood (a maximum of 4 pieces) underneath it to try and put it level.

Once you sign the contract, you give Xpress Storage Inc. permission for automatic payments. The payment will be paid on a monthly basis from the credit card account you provided us.

Yes, the pick-up fee is required to be paid at the time of delivery.
