Renting


We have 5' by 5', 5’ by 10’, 10’ by 10’, 10 by 15, and 10’ by 20’ indoor storage units and 10’ by 30’ and 11.5' by 45' outdoor parking.

Unless you request Xpress Storage Inc. to meet you at the location, there will not be anyone there. You have the ability to rent the unit through the kiosk, which is self-operating, or through our website.

To rent a unit, you will need to bring one piece of government issued ID such as Driver’s licence number, passport number, or permanent residence number. We do not accept your health card number for privacy reasons.

No, you are not required to have insurance. Without any insurance, you take on all risks that can happen with your items stored at Xpress Storage Inc. and you can’t hold us responsible for any damages. However, you are able to add your storage unit to your home insurance.

The first month will be prorated until the end of the month. After that, it goes on a month to month basis starting on the first of each month.

You have the ability to rent a unit through the self-operating kiosk or online.

Yes, you have the ability to enter your unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as long as your account is paid in full.

Yes. You will need to let us know about 10 days before moving out by e-mail at info@xpressstorage.ca or give Xpress Storage Inc. a call at 519-872-8137.


Payments


You have the ability to pay by MasterCard, Mastercard Debit, Visa, Visa Debit, e-transfers or cash. For e-transfers, they should be sent to office@xpressstorage.ca with a comment including your unit number. It can take up to 72 hours before it is recognized in the system.

Once you give Xpress Storage Inc. permission for automatic payments, the payment will be paid the first day of each month from the credit card account you provided us.

You can make a payment at the kiosk, through the internet or request to set up automatic payments.

All monthly lease payment shall be paid when it is due (the first of each and every month). In the event that you fail to pay the monthly lease payment on time, a late fee of $ 15.00 will be charged. Access to the facility will be denied till the balance is paid in full on any overdue account. The moment that the balance is paid in full, access to the facility will be activated again. In the event that you fail to pay the monthly lease payment along with any other late charges within 15 days from its original due date, you will be charged an additional late fee of $15.00. If monthly lease payment & fee(s) are not received after 60 days of the due date, Xpress Self- Storage reserves the right to dispose of your contents in accordance with the Repair and Storage Liens Act, R.S.O, 1990.


Security


No. The kiosk does sell locks.

You can give us a call at 519-872-8137 to cut your lock. It is a $25 fee. You are not allowed to cut your lock by yourself.

Regulations


Items that are not permitted are flammable substances, fertilizers, heating devices, explosives, animals, perishable contents, items capable of freezing during cold weather, any hazardous or illegal materials/substances, or other items which may constitute a nuisance, hazard or danger to you, Xpress Storage Inc., the premises, and/or other tenants.

You will need to provide proof that the vehicle is in running condition and provide us with copies of the vehicle’s ownership/registration, insurance and licence registration by e-mailing info@xpressstorage.ca or by calling 519-872-8137. In order to store a vehicle, you must be at least 18 years of age. Your name and the registered name of the motorized vehicle/trailer/vessel/etc. must be the same.


Other Questions


No, they are not heated.

Yes. We provide pallets at the location. You can use them for free. We just ask that once you are done with them, you put them back into the pallet storage at the facility for other tenants to be able to use them.

No, we have no machinery. You must be able to carry, push or drive the item into the unit by yourself.

We have rodent traps located outside all around the facility. Each trap is checked regularly and refilled with new bait if required. We recommend you to put your rodent sensitive processions at the back of your unit and to make sure your storage unit is completely closed (the string to pull the garage door back down is completely on the inside and not underneath or outside the door).

Yes, we do have the occasional auction. If a tenant does not pay within 90 days, we have the legal right to put your unit up for auction. All auctions will take place on bid13.com. After 2 weeks, the highest bidder will be notified and has 3 days to pay Xpress Storage Inc. and clear out the unit.
